Noun flower 889434 green

A beautiful deciduous shrub boasting attractive small red flowers, only surpassed by the glittering jewels of the seeds inside the fruit. Originating in the fertile crescent Pomegranates are now grown from India, across the middle East into the Mediterranean and now in the Americas and beyond. Find a warm, sunny corner and a pot with plenty of space and this small bushy tree will thrive in the UK. Championed by chefs like Master Chef Winner Sabrina Ghayour in her flavourful Persian recipes, the fruit can be used in savoury and sweet dishes for flavour and colour.

The trees are surprisingly hardy and will withstand temperatures as low as -10ºC.

Deciduous fruit trees will be starting their de-foliation very soon so won’t be looking so happy in the coming weeks. Because we love to provide the ‘wow’ factor with our trees, we’ve currently taken some of our deciduous trees off sale. However, if you are happy to receive trees during this back end of the growing year when natural changes such as leaf deterioration occur, please do get in touch by emailing us at hello@terracefruits.co.uk to enquire about availability.
