Originating in the fertile crescent Pomegranates are now grown from India, across the middle East into the Mediterranean and now in the Americas and beyond. Find a warm, sunny corner and a pot with plenty of space and this small bushy tree will thrive in the UK. Championed by chefs like Master Chef Winner Sabrina Ghayour in her flavourful Persian recipes, the fruit can be used in savoury and sweet dishes for flavour and colour.

The trees are surprisingly hardy and will withstand temperatures as low as -10ºC.
