Terrace Quince “Leskovacz”, or "Sibley's Patio Quince"
Quince is one of the easiest terrace fruits to grow. It is blessed with superb large white blossoms which are held erect from the leaves in April. The fruits which ripen in late September are rounded, apple shaped and colour to a deep gold.
Although some quince varieties can produce very large fruits indeed, which would be unsuitable fo pot culture, our selected variety Leskovacz holds round apple shaped fruits of about 70mm in diameter. They are covered in a silver down which becomes very prominent towards ripening and area magnet for children's touching hands who are amazed at the softness of a fruit!
We believe that this is the best suited variety for a terrace plant. (For alternative varieties, please see Bush Quince for wall growing)
Plants are supplied in 4.5 litre nursery pots with a supporting bamboo cane.
Approximate height when delivered 60-80cm.
